KAYAKING ADVENTURE TOURS:
Is kayaking your thing? Want to feel the smooth peaceful motion in the ocean? We got the kayaks! You can just meet us there. Explore the rugged and beautiful coastlines of Conception Bay with one of our experienced kayaking guides.
Please Note: Although Conception Bay South is our default location, there may be times where we have to move further up the shore i.e. Holyrood, Harbour Main, Avondale, or Conception Harbour. If you don’t see a departure time/date that works for you please contact us to set up a preferred time/date.
3 Hour Coastal Paddle
- Kayak experience is not necessary.
- Departure from Conception Bay South.
- PFDs provided. Bring sunblock, a change of clothes & shoes, as you can get wet. You are free to bring a snack as well.
- Departure times – to maximize our group size we will start with one time slot per day, and then add another time slot from those listed above when the 1st time slot is full.

Duration: 3 hours
Time: 9am – 12pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday

Sea Cave Kayaking
Sometimes referred to as the “Jurassic Park” of Newfoundland, our sea caves offer you the chance to get up close and personal with these geological wonders. With an opportunity to kayak, you’ll feel like you’ve taken a trip back in time to explore these auditorium-like caves any way you want to!
Kayaking Experience:
As you arrive by motor boat (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat), you look around in awe – is this another planet? The coast is rocky and robust in color, with the rocks looking like displaced puzzle pieces which had been placed haphazardly around, dotting the landscape. When you drift to a stop, the skipper invites you to go explore! Paddling along the coast, a bald eagle drifts lazily overhead searching out the fish beneath you.

Iceberg Kayaking Tours
10,000 years is a long time. But it’s the amount of time it takes to form the icebergs that are brought to Newfoundland each spring. Get a first-hand glimpse of these majestic bergs and see just how magnificent they are. As you approach each iceberg you can see every striation, each line and crack tells a story of the bergs personal history. It snaps, crackles, and pops like a bowl of cereal. It dawns on you that this piece of ice is alive, but not for much longer. Soon, it will have all melted away in the open ocean, beyond the eyes of humanity. From the Zodiac the skipper fetches a piece of the iceberg. “To cool your drink later!” he laughs. It’s a long way to go for an ice cube, but the ice maker back home doesn’t have much on this, does it?
Please note: The adventure will take place from either Petty Harbour or Conception Bay South location; subject to availability of icebergs.
*In the event of no iceberg in our vicinity, will go ahead with sea cave & sightseeing.
Iceberg Tour Details:
8:30am – Meet at dock, register and gear up.
9am – Leave dock in Zodiac, with all passengers, crew and kayaks
9am – 11:30am – Find Icebergs, paddle, explore
11:30 – 12pm – Return to dock in Zodiac, return gear, chat about your amazing time, share pics, and take in the moment
